Science of Healing

Medicine, as defined by Webster's Dictionary:

1)a : a substance or preparation used in treating disease
    b : something that affects the well-being
2)a : the science and art dealing with the maintenance of health and the prevention, alleviation, or cure of disease
   b : the branch of medicine concerned with the nonsurgical treatment of disease. 

Therefore, Energy Medicine is exactly that, a form of health maintenance and restoration that uses the Human Beings own Bio-energetic Fields to both diagnose bio-physiological imbalances and to bring them back into alignment and harmony.

Western Medicine focuses primarily on the symptoms rather than the underlying dis-ease while Energetic Medicine is a holistic approach to well-being that brings the clients entire mind, body, and Soul into focus. 

Ayurveda, which literally translates to 'The Science of Life', and Soul Focused Healing (a derivative of the Esoteric Healing tradition as taught by Djwal Khul, have the effect of balancing and harmonizing the human subtle body system.  Ayurveda has more of a 'bottom-up' approach as it seeks to work in tandem on the physical plane while Soul Focused Healing operates more on a 'top-down' approach where the practitioner functions directly on the bioenergetic fields of the client.
